I recently got a PSVR2 during a holiday deal, and this was one of the first games I wanted to pick up when I did, as it was recommended to me by a friend back when the headset first came out
The idea of the game is simple. You are a girl with baseball bats for hands. There are puzzles to solve and trophies to knock over, GO
For such a simple concept, I was surprised how much fun I ended up having with it. I didn’t even feel like the game got repetitive, the developers managed to shove a ton of different ideas and concepts into this game, and I never felt like I was getting bored with the puzzles. The levels and worlds are also varied, putting you in the museum, in space, on a Hollywood lot, and everything in between

The controls were pretty solid. I have played plenty of VR in the past, but this was one of the first times in a long time that I returned to the medium, and this game was the perfect one to settle myself back into it with easy to understand mechanics and simple gameplay
I will say my one gripe with this game was the inconsistent physics, which lead to a few annoying puzzles. Nothing too terrible, but the speed and direction of which you hit the baseball (or whatever else the game is having you hit) almost always resulted in various results, even when you make sure to do the exact same action between hits. Thankfully though this was only a handful of levels, as the game is generally understanding and will adjust as needed
I enjoyed this game quite a bit and as previously stated it was a nice reintroduction to the world of VR.
My final rating for What the Bat? is a 8/10
